I attended a fundraiser luncheon today for New Life Center. This is a non-profit 104-bed residential facility dedicated to rescuing women and their kids from domestic violence. It was a short program - just an hour - with all speakers telling (or singing) their stories. Families are designed to nurture one another, not torture one another.
